Neoliberalism, it seems, is omnipresent and all-pervasive these days, yet the concept itself remains opaque, as do its potential or actual consequences. In this course, we will (1) examine neoliberalism from a theoretical perspective; (2) discuss its relationship to other phenomena such as democracy, inequality, the environment, war and of course academia itself; and (3) explore the potential need for, and possibilities of, resistance to it. The language of instruction is English.
